To me, the opposite of worry is confidence, optimism, focusing on the moment, and work… getting things done.
But like worry, even getting things done can go overboard.
Of course, there is no doubt in my mind that you must not work Friday – Sunday.
Like being a member of ChiroTrust, taking 3 days off in a row each and every week on those specific days offers too many benefits.
But you also need to turn your brain off during the week.
Here’s how I get so much work (not worry) done…
During the day, I take a minimum of three 30-minute breaks (typically more like an hour each) away from thinking, doing, distractions, and people: morning, mid-day, and around 3 pm.
I also stop working or thinking about work after dinner, usually around 7 pm.
Having 10-12 hour work days is fun, easy, and productive because of the 3 breaks that I take during the day.
Since you most likely see patients at 3 pm, maybe you schedule a 30-minute break sometime in the mid afternoon so that you are supercharged for the early evening patients.
Or if there is a break between patients, take it.
Find an empty room, close the door, turn the lights off, and take the weight off.
Just one of many simple ways to hack productivity while nourishing my mind, body, and soul.
Maybe you should do nothing more often too!
Give it a shot.
