It’s not your fault. You are only human.
It’s hard only focusing on the stuff that we actually have control over.
We waste so much time and emotional energy wanting others to change because, in our mind, the solution to their problems is clear as day.
I’m not only talking about friends and family.
I’m talking about patients and staff.
Instead, make a list of what you actually control and focus on that.
You can even make deals with others based on what both of you want from each other. Basically, a barter of what each other controls.
More importantly, focus on YOUR time, your thoughts, your decisions, and your actions.
If we all do a better job managing what we CAN control, then everything will improve, including those people, things, and situations that we can’t control.
