It takes me about 5 seconds to make each and every day both fulfilling and productive.
Each day I remind myself that in order to maximize my achievements operationally, mentally, and health wise, it’s best to assume (even if false) the following:
- People, first and foremost, care about themselves.
- Everybody has problems. They don’t have to know or listen to mine.
- Put others first. It’s the key to a blessed and rewarding life.
- Pain is good. You can’t succeed without it. Whomever can endure the most of it wins.
- Life is short. Don’t take anything too seriously.
- I don’t need much. I would be just as happy (maybe even happier) with less of everything. All I really need is faith, family, my fly rod, a kettlebell/X3, and Sprinter Van. Everything else is a bonus (or a curse).
- Get as much done as possible each and every day, from morning to night. No TV, no gossip, no b.s.. “Done” is all that counts.
- The healthier I am, the easier it is to succeed. Buy the highest quality food possible.
- Happiness is not the goal, meaning is.
- Retirement equals death. I have plenty of time to make money provided that I live a balanced and healthy life now.
This is how I live my life.
Only you can decide how to live yours.
The key is to live intentionally, strategically, and to become as self aware as possible.
