Ego ruins both lives and businesses.
Too many people have big business and big lives but….
They aren’t happy, aren’t healthy, and create nothing but misery around them.
I have found that simple is always better…. something that I have distilled from life’s experiences, observations, and from the vast amount of books I read each and every month.
One way to begin simplifying is by eliminating processes, systems, services, people, and/or square footage from your office.
For example, I would much rather collect $30,000 a month with $15,000 overhead than collect $80,000 a month with $50,000 in overhead.
Even though the latter comes with twice as much “profit”, it also comes with four times the headache, risk, and volatility.
Now, can I prove that?
No, I cannot.
But from what I have seen in terms of peace of mind and life balance, I’m convinced that this is true.
So, if you have created a complex business, know that the way out of it will be difficult, but it’s possible, and in the long run, it will be well worth it.
