Have you ever wondered why so many old and rich people continue working?
Have you ever said to yourself, “If I were them, I would retire and enjoy life”?
Have you ever thought that most successful people are overly ambitious and/or greedy?
If you have, then here’s something else to think about…
I live low key.
I value friends, family, and freedom way more than things.
I have no debt. I can retire at noon today if I wanted to.
But I will never retire. EVER!
I will work ‘til the day I die.
In Chiropractic, Dan Murphy, practicing members like Gregory Johnson, and I do what we do because we love it.
We work harder and more than most.
But it goes beyond that.
We push ourselves because that’s how we’re wired.
See, most people who want to “make it” so that they can retire as early as possible rarely can or do.
Why?
Because more often than not, to succeed in the first place, you have to be wired to work, wired to love working, wired to push yourself.
Does that mean that you need to push yourself harder or more often?
Reminds me of that saying, “If you have to ask, you can’t afford it.”
If you have to ask yourself if you should push yourself more, then you probably aren’t wired to push yourself…
And That’s Okay!!!
Simply reverse engineer your life, your practice, your days, and most importantly, your goals and values so that you are happy and content without pushing yourself more.
What is NOT okay is wanting to achieve at a higher level but not doing and being what it takes to get there.
Wired to push yourself?
GREAT!
