I’m not alone on this…
The marketing world has an evil side.
A dirty little secret.
It’s the side of what I call…
“Selling Shovels”
Basically, paying for someone to “reveal” to you how to make a lot of money.
I see the most integrity in companies that offer tangible products or time/money-saving services.
…Not “how to”.
For example, ChiroTrust provides a service to existing Chiropractic practices. We do not teach how to provide services to Chiropractors.
I don’t teach how to do what I do. That’s not the business that I am in. I provide a service.
And yes, there are some honest teachers out there but most of them are hucksters.
Here are the top tricks that they use to get your money…
1) They rent assets for video shoots. Homes, cars, models, etc.
2) They reveal strategies that sound great but are dependent on too many ideal outcomes over too much time… In reality, they have no real chance of coming to fruition.
3) They make more money teaching than they ever did (or even could) doing what they teach.
This isn’t always bad but… if you think and look deeper, then often times, you might find the money they get from you is needed to fund and scale the strategies that they teach.
That’s part of the strategy that they leave out and that you can’t duplicate.
This enables them to really get rich.
They teach you how to dabble.
They use your money to fund the dog and pony show, to rent or even buy the assets that get you to salivate, and to scale so that you believe that what they say, do, and teach works.
Well, it does work.
Just not for you.
