The most frustrating thing in practice is dealing with those patients who have no clue about health, what it takes to really get better, and what better even means.
Unless and until you let it go, you will continue to feel frustrated with them.
Let them be lost in the dark.
Let them be right.
Let them be.
…Because it’s a battle you won’t win.
I’m guilty of it myself.
Is it because we truly care about others or is it because we like being right?
Probably both.
My advice is to play to their weakness by accepting them as if there is nothing wrong with what they do and what they say.
It’s the only way to keep customers for life, which is the only way you will maximize your impact on them.
To keep a patient, be patient.
