Does anyone love doing paperwork?
I sure don’t and I certainly have done my share.
So that it doesn’t interfere with doing the aspects of my work that I do enjoy, I choose to do paperwork when I am alone in my sprinter van, coffee shop, library, and even at home (if I must).
Personally, I think going to the practice feels best when you arrive a few minutes before the first patient and leave a few minutes after the last… performing only revenue-generating activities and handling most of the paperwork off property… alone, away, undistracted, undisturbed… untriggered.
Of course, some paperwork needs to happen real time, but take some time to think about when you are doing the things that you don’t particular love.
Sometimes how, when, and where can make all the difference in the world… in the quality, quantity, and satisfaction of doing your paperwork.
