I dislike the word “opportunity”.
Opportunities are a dime a dozen.
When I hear, “Hey Ben, I have this opportunity to x, y, z…,” I politely listen and then explain that…
“Opportunities” create false confidence.
Most are welcomed distractions that don’t pan out.
Some may get you on the field but most will never get you into the end zone.
Your success has just as much to do with who you are as it does what you do.
Want to succeed?
Do what works.
What works?
Focus
Patience
Guidance
Implementation
Accurate thinking
Character
Competence
Giving customers what they want.
Success isn’t sexy.
It’s messy.
It’s not linear.
It has its ups and downs.
It’s not about playing the field.
It’s about staying on the right one.
