“New Patients”, “New Patients”, “New Patients”

“New Patients” is to Chiropractors what “Just get me out of pain” is to patients. (Please read that again.)

But there is one huge difference…

YOU own a business. They don’t.

Patients (consumers) virtually only do what they want to do
because they can and because THEY don’t monetize what they do.

You HAVE to!

You make a living “selling” Chiropractic care.

That’s why you think—or feel that you must—tell patients “THE TRUTH” in order to make money like the “difference between relief and correction or the “difference between pain relief and wellness/maintenance care”. THEY CAN’T HANDLE THE TRUTH.

…but neither can most D.C.s.

It’s human nature.

…and there is NOTHING that you can do about that.

Nevertheless, many in this profession will continue to fail.

Not because most aren’t good at adjusting—most probably are good enough.

Not because they aren’t educating enough. (Far from it.)

Many will fail because they don’t understand business, because they don’t understand the market.

They don’t accept human nature as it is.

Back to you.

You want new patients. I get it. Boy, do I get it.

But unlike consumers, you must accept the truth. If not, you will go bankrupt.

So, what is the truth?

The truth is, YOU DON’T HAVE A NEW PATIENT PROBLEM.

You never had, you never will.

More “new patients” won’t change anything.

Actually, if you need new patients, then that tells me that you have a lot of things that need fixing first:

  • How you market
  • What you sell
  • How you sell it
  • How much you charge
  • Your office hours
  • Your procedures
  • Your office appearance
  • Your appearance
  • Your ability to connect with people
  • Your ability to nurture relationships
  • Your views on why you’re at where you’re at in practice

…and many more.

  2. Reject the temptation to be just like them. (When you do, the wolves of this profession will simply tell you what YOU want to hear and take your money.)

Success or failure.

You have the power to achieve both.

…and you know what?
