This morning at Pete’s Coffee in Danville, I ran into Michelle and Mike, a husband and wife team who owns a pool maintenance company in town.
We talked about restaurants that we absolutely love in and around Napa and how most of the restaurants in Danville have some catching up to do.
Then, we talked about the lost art of being on time. Being punctual.
Michelle told me a story about something that happened to her 20 years ago when she ordered room service at a swanky New York hotel and was given delivery time of 8:03.
Not 8. Not 8:05. 8:03.
At 8:03, Michele opened her hotel room door and a gentleman was standing there with her Danish, coffee, and newspaper.
Think about this…
If she was told a delivery time of 8 am, it would have been a difference experience, certainly not a memorable one.
The question worth thinking hard and a lot about is this:
What are you already doing that you can make more memorable?
