Doc, do you know the movers and shakers in your town?
If not, you should.
Make a list.
Come up with at least ten people.
Follow them on Facebook and LinkedIn.
From time to time, like and share their good posts.
Slowly over time, get to know them, but not as potential patients or referrers (yet).
Instead, become true friends or acquaintances with them.
Be patient.
Ask for nothing of them.
But do provide them as much value over time as possible.
…Until one day, they feel obligated to support you.
That’s how you build a network of influencers.
It can take years, not months, but it is the stuff money can’t buy that is worth everything.
