Patients come and patients go but as long as you don’t ignore them, many will come back (and refer).
As long as you serve the market based on their pre-existing conditions and wants, not yours, you’ll win every time.
So focus on “your list”.
Nobody but YOU has it.
Nobody but YOU can communicate to it.
Nobody but YOU is responsible for it.
If that isn’t enough for you, then you likely have a positioning and/or patient experience problem. But don’t worry, once you get that right, you’re home free. (This is something we discuss in depth at Committee Meetings.)
For example, the solution to an excessively high overhead % practice isn’t more new patients or more gross.
The solution is to make some tough, but necessary, decisions internally.
Simplicity is the goal and the best way to have a profitable, low-stress, 4-day work week practice.
