Good day, my friend.
I hope all is well and as always, if there is anything that I can do for you, please let me know.
As I sit here at Peet’s Coffee here in Danville, I can see many small businesses that weren’t here 5 years ago.
Many won’t be here 5 years from now.
One of the benefits of living in a small town, like Danville, is that it’s easy to observe what’s going on.
One of the topics that I find myself talking about around here is why X business will fail and why Y business will probably make it.
It’s almost a game us locals play.
Success and failure leaves clues.
Each of us buys more product/service categories than we sell. So as you continue to consume products and services, pay attention to what gets your attention, when and why you buy, who you buy from (and why), and what about each experience you like, dislike, or are indifferent about.
Then bring that awareness to your practice.
See, as a consumer, your patients think like you.
You know more than you think about what it takes to please a customer because, more often than not, you are one.
All you have to do is pay attention.
There is also a #1 reason why you buy what you buy…
Because you want it.
Never forget that one!
