Fantasyland

This morning, I spoke with a new member who said he wants to collect $100,000.00 per month.

I asked him, “How much do you think your EXPENSES will be in order to achieve that result?”

His answer…

“10k.”

$90,000 profit$10,000 expenses

Not a chance.

He is a good guy. I can tell. He just doesn’t know what he doesn’t know.

He has some hurdles to overcome but if he attends the next Committee Meeting, there is hope for him.

A lot of doctors THINK they know what they want but most do not know what it will take to get there, and if they do know, many aren’t willing to do what it takes.

To paraphrase Brian Tracy, to be successful, just figure out the price and then start paying the price.

Otherwise, you might find yourself stuck, headed in the wrong direction, or (possibly worse) owning a practice with too much overhead, too many moving parts, too much complexity, staff headaches, and not enough profit.

Unfortunately, too many Chiropractors live in Fantasyland.

In Fantasyland, you decide what you want to sell and expect the marketplace to buy it.

In Fantasyland, the focus is on you and not your customers.

In Fantasyland, your spouse’s and friends’ about your practice are valid.

In Fantasyland, your fears are justified.

In Fantasyland, you just need to be a great Chiropractor to succeed.

In my opinion, the best way to grow a successful practice with great profit margins, low stress, and lot of free time is to make sure your product and your marketing (often one in the same) are congruent with what the marketplace ALREADY wants from you.

Think of success as being able to open a safe…

It’s impossible until you know the combination.
