For well over a decade, I worked virtually every waking moment.
I attribute most of my wealth to those years.
But looking back, I would have done it differently.
I would have worked less and enjoyed life more.
…Especially since I have no plans of retiring… Ever.
When I was in practice, I wish I worked only 4 days a week and that ChiroTrust was around. Things would have been a lot different.
There would have been more time for travel, reading, hobbies, fitness, guitar, etc.
So what’s the rush?
Work a little, enjoy a little. Live and spend accordingly.
Money, “Net worth”, and being busy is overrated.
In my opinion, too many parents kill themselves in order to make life easy for their children:
– Cars
– College Tuition
– House Down Payments
– Inheritance Goals
Consider putting LESS pressure on yourself.
What could you give up that is owning you?
What are you (we) trying to prove?
Who are we trying to impress?
I don’t claim to have the answers, but I do know that most people don’t think about these things enough and that for most people, living to work… doesn’t.
