The Way Your Chiropractic Clinic Looks Is Marketing

November 11, 2013 By Ben Altadonna

According to Michael Gerber in his book the E-Myth, the way your office or business looks is Marketing. You want to use this opportunity to create a “home-court advantage” and fertile soil for people to do business with you. Chiropractic clinic design is high on the list, as is the look, feel, and tidiness of your space.

When new patients step foot into your chiropractic clinic you want them to instantly have the realization that they are in the right place. Patients all make the connection between the tidiness and attention to detail of the doctors, staff and clinic with the chiropractic care itself. McDonald’s has a staff check the restrooms after each use to make sure it is kept perfect. They know that nothing will turn-off a customer more that a dirty restroom. The customer translates dirty restroom into unsafe food. Are you turning off your patients with the way your office looks the second they walk in? It is not a big expense to be neat, clean, and organized. See our checklist below.

Does Your Office Pass The Test?

-Mirrors Spotless
-Bathroom looks and smells nice, paper toilet covers, hand soap pump, his/her cologne, airs freshener provided.
-Carpet stains removed
-No dust detected anywhere
-All equipment and chairs sturdy and well maintained
-No posters on walls unless well matted and framed.
-Drinking water accessible to patients
-All rooms well lit; full spectrum lighting, not too bright or too dim
-No visible mess from ANY patient vantage point
-Walls, doors, and door trim clean/spotless
-No unusual smells/odors anywhere.
-Doctor and staff’s personal belongings out of sight including food, snacks, bags, purses, reading material, etc.
-All live plants are robust and healthy
-All colors are warm, complimentary and soothing to the eyes; nothing too bright.
-Music is calming and not too loud.
-Outside of office well maintained; no garbage or weeds, outdoor sign/s well lit.
-Doctor and staff look healthy, dress professionally, and smile often!

Reverse engineer this dynamic and create a WOW FACTOR and home-court advantage that patients tell others about, then watch your clinic prosper. Because the way your chiropractic clinic looks and feels IS marketing.
