It’s called “Message-to-Market Match”
If everyone is your market, then no one is your market. So your message—everything you do, say, show, and tell—must appear as if you are directing it to just one person…
You must know exactly who that one person is, and you must enter and MATCH the conversation already going on in their head: their pains, their fears, what they lose sleep over, what they wouldn’t even admit to their spouse, etc.
Their reaction must be, “You know what I am going through!”
Your message must match the market: a very specific group of people who all want the same thing.
You must know who your market is and who your market isn’t.
The market must already exist. It must already want what you have to offer.
Breakdowns in the message-to-market match make your marketing less effective:
- your practice name
- your fees
- their in-office experience
- your business cards
- the content that you use on social media
- your offline communication
- what they expect from you
…Everything must match what they already want.
You’d be shocked how important this is to your success.
To get it right, all you have to do is listen and observe behavior. Then, just reverse engineer everything.

The hardest thing to do is to have multiple offerings to the same market at the same time. Chiropractors do this terribly all the time.
