Yesterday, I wrote about building your list the right way and I gave a book recommendation.
Today, I’d like to talk about the importance of being known in your community and a few things that have made it possible for me.
But first, why is it so important for YOU to be known?
Because that’s the best way to build your list so that ChiroTrust can take it from there for you.
To be known, I don’t just mean that people know who you are but what you stand for, your reputation, your character, your predictability, and your reliability.
It all starts with wanting to get to know others, being genuinely interested in others, and being authentic and comfortable in your own skin.
That way, you can be comfortable and effective at:
- Talking to strangers.
- Making eye contact with everyone you see.
- Saying “Hi”, “Good Morning”, “How are you?”, etc.
- Making conversation, ask questions, complimenting, being interested more than interesting.
- Being thoughtful.
- Displaying acts of kindness as frequently as possible.
Certainly, you can get involved with different groups, causes, events, etc. as a way of becoming “known” but it isn’t necessary.
Every minute of the day is an opportunity to get to know more people.
All you have to do is be conscious of every moment and who is around you and seize that opportunity. Don’t waste it.
Being their Chiropractor will come naturally when and if they know you, like you, and trust you.
