Starting a practice is like being in a start-up band and going on the road… you gotta do everything:

  • Set Up
  • Perform
  • Clean Up/Break Down

But the sign that you are becoming better and more in demand is when YOU can do LESS.

How do you know when you hit it big?

When you just show up, do only what only YOU can do, and then go home.

For example, the members of the band Aerosmith don’t drive the semis/buses from show to show. Nor do they set up the stage, sound equipment, or lighting, or tune the instruments.

Steven Tyler and the other band members get off a private jet or helicopter, go to hair and makeup, get on stage, and when the curtain opens, they are greeted by tens of thousands of fans who put more physical effort into being there than the band did.

When the show ends, they get paid and go home. Other people break down the stage and put the equipment on the trucks/buses for the next gig.

So, what are you still doing and why are you still doing it?

What can you or should you be focusing on so that one day you too simply show up, do what ONLY you can do, and then go home?

It’s worth thinking about and better yet, worth making it happen!
