As a business owner, I must pick my battles and for productivity and profits, protect my time and my sanity.
I do it by factoring in assumptions and ways of looking at things and people.
Here are mine…
- My team and I aren’t productive all of the time and that’s okay.
- People are more interested in themselves than they are in me.
- It’s important to become blameless.
- All most people want is attention, to be recognized, and to feel good.
- Most people aren’t willing to do what it takes and that’s okay.
- Given the chance, I rather pay now than pay later.
- Trying to change or control people is a waste of time and so is judging them.
- Don’t take complaints or compliments seriously.
- Customers are not loyal.
- Everybody has an agenda.
- To create and maintain loyalty, you must reward it.
- The more I serve others, the better my life will be.
- The less I talk, the better.
- The humbler I am, the better.
- The more I think, the less I do, the more I make.
- My business and my market constantly respond to my thoughts.
- Being alone in nature is necessary for my growth.
- Everything that happens is okay and for a reason.
This type of thinking serves me well and my clients well.
