How I Make My Evenings EXTREMELY Productive… Without Working.

November 7, 2019 By Ben Altadonna

I can’t put into words just how valuable this is…

How I get the most out each day, the most out of myself, and the most for Chiropractic, ChiroTrust, my family, and my friends.

At 58, I know what matters most to me, and I put a premium on the time I have left on this earth.

That is why I don’t want to waste a single minute.

To achieve what is important to me, I must control what I do, when I do it, and how I do it.

I love the mornings. That is why I wake up so early. When I wake up varies but rarely exceeds 4:30 am.

Today, I woke up around 3:30.

Working 12 – 14 hours a day, Monday-Thursday is the norm.

I’m not a work-a-holic. That only comes out to about 50-55 hours a week and doesn’t negatively impact anyone.

But I can get a lot done during those hours.

For me, how much I work isn’t as important and when I work.

Here’s what I’ve figured out…

For me, evenings aren’t that productive. Sure, I spend time with the family but during the week, Makiah has homework and a few evenings for private tutoring, basketball, and a few other school- and church-related activities.

It’s also a time when Taylor and Makiah enjoy their time together reading and hanging out.

I give them that time.

Friday- Sunday is reserved for focused family time.

Basically, I hate the evenings. It’s when I’m the most drained.

Each evening, I can’t wait for the following day.

So I don’t.

Between 7 pm and 10 pm, or between 8 pm and 11 pm, it would be safe to say that most people watch T.V., eat snacks, and basically chill out.

I take those waking hours and apply them to my morning.

This gives me 3-4 more productive hours per day.

So how do I make my evenings productive without working?

I go to bed!

Yep, I’m asleep.

It sounds simple, but simplicity is what I spend a lot of time trying to figure out for myself.

I get as much or more sleep than most.

I spend as much time or more time with my friends and family.

I’m confident that I get more done in a day then most people do in a week.

All because I go to bed early and wake up earlier.

It feels as though I’m getting 27 hours a day instead of 24.

It’s crazy simple and wildly effective.

I can’t recommend it enough.
