Have you read the book “The Untethered Soul” yet?
It’s one of my all-time favorites.
It’s about acceptance, being unaffected, and letting go.
As a Chiropractor, there is power in accepting patients as is and not letting them get to you—especially when you know that they are wrong, lazy, or unnecessarily difficult.
The moment that you let them get to you, you lose, and so do they.
Any sign of weakness from you substantiates and justifies their position in their minds and keeps them from growing and thriving.
Trust me, my clients (Chiropractors) are no different.
But when you seem indifferent and untethered to their path in life (even if you are not), you both win….
– They grow.
– They respect you.
– They want you in their life.
Heck, if most D.C.s would just do the OPPOSITE of practically everything that they do, then they would attract and keep more people in the practice.
Everyone is looking for someone to blame for their lot in life.
Don’t let it be you.
Be able and willing to let go of being right, accepting the responsibilities of others, and caring too much.
