Yesterday, I spent (and wasted) a day of my life getting rearranging and preparing things to be sold, given away, and thrown away—things that I either never needed, spent too much for, or rarely used.
Here’s what I had to contend with…
This outdoor structure is on the ChiroTrust property.
What you don’t see is all the personal items located 60 feet down in the back.
So anyway, the feeling of getting rid of stuff feels so much better than buying and acquiring stuff.
If I was 40 (18 years younger), knowing what I know now, here’s what I would NOT do and do instead…
– I would not have acquired so much workout and exercise/sporting good equipment – Instead I would have done more calisthenics, more walking, and more stretching. I’d be in better condition, with better function and fewer joint problems.
– I would have eliminated as much paperwork in my business as possible. That stuff must be stored for 7 years!
– I would buy less “high-end” everything. High end stuff costs more to replace, fix, and maintain (cars, plumbing fixtures, clothes, EVERYTHING).
People tend to live a simple life when they are young and when they are old… and mess it up in the middle.
