When Things Are Going Well…

Ugh… I don’t like to talk about these things.

Because like you, I want to coast once in awhile and just service my existing customers.

But I don’t. Ever.

Because business (the market) does what business (the market) does.

It humbles us.

It keeps us on our toes.

I’m talking about momentum—more specifically, the loss of momentum.

The loss of momentum typically occurs when things are going well.

The new patients are coming in.

Past patients are revisiting.

And referrals are on fire.

That’s when we tend to ease up on what got us here in the first place:

  • Quality control
  • List nurturing
  • List building
  • Systems analysis
  • Spending time to think

HERE’S MY MANTRA…

“Every week that I take my eye off the ball,
I lose one month of revenue.”

Some of you may be experiencing a long period of decline.

If that is the case, then you’re likely experiencing the byproduct of not weeks, but months of quality, list, systems, and thinking neglect.

You may have ignored what it takes to grow and maintain your practice.

The good news is that if you commit to working ON—not just IN your practice—week in and week out, then one day you will turn the corner and enjoy the fruits of today’s labor.

Yes, you, me, we reap what we sow.

So stay positive. Don’t fret.
And don’t cry over spilled milk.

The important thing is that you realize and accept the fact that what you do today may not bear fruit right away. Just like what you DON’T do might not impact you right away either.

Why would anyone think otherwise?

That is why you must ALWAYS be in a state of momentum… ESPECIALLY when things are going well.

BE PATIENT AND IMPATIENT AT THE SAME TIME.
