Doc, Don’t Bite the Bait

If you pay attention to people who have nothing to sell you…
People who have “had it all”…
People who you may even look up to…

They’d all tell you the same thing:

Money, fame, and fancy things do NOT make you happy.

They’d also tell you that excessive ambition is often overrated and destructive.

Personally, I’ve found happiness. It’s taken me a while but I found it.

I’ve created a real business for myself and members of ChiroTrust that provides value and serves others.

I don’t work too many hours.

I pay attention my friends and family.

I take care of my mind, body, and spirit.

I live a simple and relatively private life.

OF COURSE you need food, shelter, and clothing and that DOES cost money but if you buy into the myth that you must be financially set by 65, then you are putting an unnecessary, and often times, unrealistic burden on yourself.

No, you don’t need to reach financial independence by 65 and no, you don’t need to retire early either. That’s a death sentence.

In fact, most of the happy and healthy older people that I come across work ‘til the day they die. They love what they do and couldn’t imagine quitting.

Sure, they might scale down or tweak it a bit, but they continue to serve others and generate income.

For example, I’d much rather own a practice that collects $25,000 a month with 10-12k in monthly overhead working only four days a week with one assistant, than collecting double or even four times that amount with more work, headaches, and staff.

That’s a reasonable, worthwhile, and achievable goal.

Marketers know that most people want big houses, fancy cars, frequent vacations—that rock star-looking life.

Don’t bite the bait because that is all it is.
