Ready for a bumpy ride?
…because today I’m going on a RANT. 🙂
Sorry… But I’m sick and tired of watching Chiropractors get drunk off the Kool-Aid and then practically dying from it.
This profession lives in fantasy land—a warm and fuzzy place where Chiropractors focus on what they themselves want, what they themselves think, and what they themselves want consumers to care about.
- “Cash” practices
- Odd office hours that cater to the doctor, not to the market.
- Fees too low.
- Fees too high.
- Practices that “feel at home” to its practitioner but feels strange to everyone else.
- An infinite amount of services.
- Fees based on “case types” that are inappropriate to everyone else.
- Points of view that consumers couldn’t care less about.
- Personas created to feed egos and prop up a fake image.
NEWS FLASH…
NOBODY CARES ABOUT YOU.
NOBODY CARES ABOUT ME.
NOBODY CARES ABOUT CHIROPRACTIC.
All people—ESPECIALLY PATIENTS—come in caring about themselves.
Not you…
Not Chiropractic…
Not what you passionately care about.
If your office hours were created to make your life easier, then you lose.
If your fees were put in place to make as much money as you can per patient, then you lose patients.
If you need to plug into all the Hollywood Squares Chiropractic Personalities (you know who I’m talking about—the self promoting D.C.s everyone knows but aren’t bringing more patients to Chiropractic and are merely famous amongst Chiropractors for being famous), then you waste valuable time and energy.
So before you ask the Chiropractic gurus, the Chiropractic seminar speakers, and the self-proclaimed experts for an autograph and a picture, ask yourself these questions…
How are they really helping consumers?
How are they really helping you build your practice?
Even the most widely respected gurus in Chiropractic aren’t helping Chiropractic or your practice one bit.
They’ve just carved themselves a little space in this profession selling to or entertaining Chiropractors. That’s about it.
As a matter of fact, they’re doing more harm than good.
They’ve brainwashed Chiropractors into believing what is actually impossible, which serves them, not you, your practice, or your patients.
Listen, succeeding in practice isn’t that hard.
You just need to do a small handful of things consistently right.
You don’t need to be pumped up.
You don’t need to overcharge and/or over treat.
You don’t need to “educate” patients.
Why?
Because it DOES NOT WORK.
That is the harsh reality.
Accept and embrace it.
Otherwise, it will chew you up and spit you out.
You will have a more productive life working with, not against, reality.
