As a Chiropractor, have you ever worked during vacation?
Now, I know what you are thinking,
“How can I work during vacation, I’m a Chiropractor.”
My point exactly.
Chiropractors equate treating patients with working and revenue generation…and everything else as a necessary evil.
I’d like to challenge you to think differently about what working really is.
There are many variations and levels of “work” and some are way more productive and profitable than others.
For example,
Much of what you do and what I do really is TRADING TIME FOR DOLLARS.
But it would serve you well to see that as a low-level work.
High-level work creates work for others.
High-level work creates systems and processes.
High-level work requires thinking, not doing.
and…
THAT’S the type of work that you can do while on vacation.
…Not that you should.
But if you are worried about your practice but still must take a vacation for the benefit of the family, then consider waking up a little early and walk out to the pool, or out on the beach, or on the deck and do some thinking.
Thinking.
Not worrying.
Thinking.
Thinking about how you are going to build your list.
What can you do to improve your product and experience that you provide?
What can you eliminate that is no longer serving you?
How can you clarify your message?
How can you add more value/service to your prospects and patients?
What can you do to feel, look, and act younger and more energetic?
What bad habits can you conquer?
What habits can you test and/or create?
Then, to get it done by writing down and figuring out the when, where, what, who, how…etc..
Pick short-term goals.
Take one day at a time.
Challenge your comfort zone.
And always with “Done” on your mind.
‘Cause “Done” is all that matters.
