I spoke to a member today about a… let’s just say, not an ideal patient.
He asked me what I thought about him taking this patient off his snail mail and email list.
He was concerned that the patient would come back or worse, refer more patients who are just like that patient.
I said, go for it. Take them off your list.
Makes perfect sense.
Some patients you just can’t help….
- Patients who are overly skeptical.
- Patients who don’t pay when they should.
- Patients whose expectations aren’t based in reality.
Now, before you say, “Sounds like most patients!,” let me remind you that with the wrong marketing, discounted offers, and terrible treatment recommendations (ROF) and treatment in general, Chiropractors can attract or create these types of patients.
So before you blame a patient or some patients, take a hard look at how you are attracting and managing your patients.
SOMETIMES it takes two to tango.
