No.
Should you?
Maybe.
…but only after you are doing a lot of other things right.
Right product
Right market
Right message
See, Facebook is merely a type of media, a way of communicating to people.
Like all other types of media, it has some benefits and some limitations.
It reaches some people but not everyone or necessarily the right ones.
It’s inexpensive yet somewhat time consuming.
And it’s ever-changing.
Personally, I like Facebook but I far from love it and I don’t need it or rely on it.
But I LOVE direct mail and email.
Direct mail is tangible. It has a longer shelf life.
Direct mail is expensive yet can be very effective. So don’t judge any strategy by its upfront cost. Think “Lifetime Value”.
Email goes to those with whom you have a prior or current relationship. Done right, email can be one of the most valuable media choices out there. It’s underrated but that’s why I love it.
So maybe do everything but rely solely on nothing.
