Twenty years ago, I was told this and it changed my life…
“School is never out for the pro.”
That is why I read so much. One book a day, 365 days a year — mostly on business, marketing, and human psychology.
I buy a month’s worth of books off of Amazon.com that get delivered to my home on or before the 1st of each month.
Each book is researched before I purchase it. I choose books that I feel will help me help Chiropractic and Chiropractors.
Real books.
Nothing digital.
It’s a $500 +/- per month habit.
I summarize each book onto a one-page template that I created that includes…
- “What’s it all about?”
- “Top 3 Take-Always”
- “Top 3 Thought Provoking Quotes”
I keep some of the books for future reference.
The rest I give away to friends, family, or co-workers.
Am I addicted to reading?
No.
Do I love reading?
No.
Do I agree with everything that I read?
Of course not.
But I am addicted to getting things done and always being in momentum.
And that’s what books do for me.
Books help me challenge my perspective.
Books motivate me to think big and do more.
Books give me a MASSIVE edge.
That’s why I read a book a day.
