In Chiropractic, “Cash Practice” means not accepting insurance (and doing the billing for the patient) or just providing the patient paperwork so that they can do the billing themselves.
Here’s the problem with that…
With deductibles and co-payments, every patient is a cash patient.
If you want to attract them,
if you want them to come back,
if you want them to refer others, then
accept and bill their insurance.
Fee and service-wise, treat them all the same.
Charge them all the same: a fair fee with the least amount of modalities possible. Zero modalities is ideal.
…and if they have insurance, bill it… even if their coverage is terrible… because if you don’t bill it, they will find an office that will. It is what it is.
And don’t even factor in that the paperwork for you and/or your staff is a nightmare… patients can care less about you or me.
They only care about themselves.
Put them first.
That’s how you build a profitable 4-day work week practice.
