As a practice owner, it’s tough taking time off. I get it.
Not only are you calculating the loss of revenue that it creates, you are also concerned about how your patients will react to it.
But let me cut to the chase…
Life is short.
The money lost is meaningless and never really lost.
Patients will get over it.
Years down the road, all you’ll have is memories….and the most important ones will have occurred outside of the office with friends and love ones.
Additionally, and counterintuitively, the more balanced your life is NOW, the more money you will make over time.
The key (in my opinion) is to never retire and pace instead of push.
Pacing yourself over a longer time window will prevent a lot of unnecessary pressure, stress, and grief.
So enjoy the Holidays.
Take time off.
Enjoy yourself.
Otherwise, what’s the point?
