I’d like to make a confession.
It’s been about 10 weeks since my last Chiropractic adjustment and in my past I’ve gone several months between adjustments.
Does that make me a hypocrite?
No, it makes me human.
There are overweight D.C.s, D.C.s who smoke, D.C.s hooked on drugs, alcoholic D.C.s, and D.C.s who don’t workout, don’t have positive mental attitudes, don’t get enough rest, don’t exercise, don’t eat right, and rarely get adjusted themselves.
…and like everyone else, most D.C.s have a loss of cervical curve and in their lifetime, will get some degree of arthritis.
Now before you say to yourself, “Yes, you and they ARE hypocrites,” I assure you there were times in your life when you fell off the Chiropractic lifestyle wagon.
So, Chiropractors aren’t hypocrites.
Chiropractors are human.
Humans make mistakes, humans can be lazy, and humans (Including you) aren’t perfect.
So, what’s the point of all this?
Well, it is my contention that other than ignoring them before, during, and after coming to you for care, D.C.s expect too much from their patients…and that’s why most chiropractic patients leave and never come back.
So, I you want to experience a shift in how patients relate to you and your practice, consider accepting them where they’re at…and possibly do everything you can to just give them what they want (what a concept).
…because last time I checked, THEY are paying YOU.
